It’s no secret that CRNA school is stressful. From the intense influx of new information to navigating clinicals, you’re bound to be put in situations that make your heart beat a little faster and your hand sweat a little too much.

Today, we are joined by Matt Zinder, an 18-year career CRNA, who has uncovered a hidden secret inside the healthcare field. More and more providers are suffering from dangerous levels of chronic and prolonged stress. If you can feel your chest getting tight, future CRNA, then this episode is for you!

In today’s episode, Matt dives into his researched-backed approach and explains-

  • Why stress management is so vitally important in (and even before) CRNA school

  • Best practices for preparing yourself for the intensity that lies ahead

  • Busting the myth of exhaustion and stress as “necessary evils”

  • Practical action steps you can start taking today to begin managing stress levels (even before school starts!)

  • Why self-care will make you a more effective student and serve you throughout your CRNA career

Deep breath, future CRNA! You’ve got this, and we’ve got you! Happy listening!

  1. Thank you for providing me with some stress management tips! Over the last few months, I have definitely been focusing on self care because I typically put my family and others first. I’ve decided to still do for others, but not to forget about my mental health. Ultimately, we have to be well before we help others. 🙂
