Episode Description
Rejection- the fear is real. It can be intimidating to see success story after success story as you start to doubt if you have what it takes or not. The good news is, PLENTY of current CRNAs have faced rejection or have been waitlisted, and have still made it.
Today, we’re laying out some of the most common reasons for rejection. You’ll also gain invaluable insight on how to combat these mistakes ahead of time and really stand out as a competitive candidate.
In this episode, we dive into:
-
Why it’s important to figure out your science GPA and thoroughly research the program at your dream school
-
How to ask for guidance and direction specific to the program to which you are going to apply
-
Why you should go the extra mile, and complete all recommended or preferred requirements listed on the application (including the preferred ER and ICU experience)
-
Action steps you can take to prepare for your interview and build a solid network
-
What “being waitlisted” really means, and what to do to potentially bump yourself up the list
Happy listening, and YOU CAN DO THIS!
